Whether you play games on your smartphone or not, you may have heard about the popular MMO game called Clash of Clans. Available for iOS and Android, Clash of Clans is one of the longest running, most popular game for smartphones. Initially released in USA and Canada in 2012, Clash of Clans is now played by millions of active users worldwide. So how did they become so popular amid thousands of available games in this saturated market of smartphone apps?

The key to their success is user satisfaction. The game is utterly satisfying to play. And it's not just the good ratings it received from critics during its launch, but it's also the options and features it offered its players.

The game can be played in both single player and multiplayer mode. And there's a key point to notice. Unlike other games out there, this game is not focused on one part only. It simultaneously supports both single player and multiplayer. You can choose not to play any of the two gameplay modes. This gives users flexibility and choice. Something people always want, even when playing a MMO game. For those who don't know, MMO refers to Massive Multiplayer Online, which is the type of game Clash of Clans is.

You may have heard of Dota 2? It's a worldwide sensation for gamers. It's so big that every year million dollar tournaments are held, referred to as e-sports. But Clash of Clans is limited to your smartphones only. But it's a huge game. The creators of the game, Supercell, bring in millions of dollars in cash just from this game, although it's a free-to-play game.

So, if it's a free-to-play game, how does it bring in millions of dollars? The answer is flexibility. The game gives users the flexibility to play it for free, but there is also a paid option, which is not mandatory. If you want to get ahead of the game, you can buy in game currency, referred to as 'gems'. These 'gems' act as boosts.

Another key point to consider is simplicity. When you start playing, you'll see how simple the interface is. You can easily buy into the game. Although almost everything is self-explanatory, there are tutorials to guide you through. This gives players the ease of use they need to get comfortable with the game. Once you're settled in, you actively keep on playing the game. That's basically the formula to creating an addictive game - concentrate on what your consumers need and keep things simple. Well, at least, it worked for them and many others.

It often feels uncanny how big a simple mobile app can be, and how much revenue it can pull in return for the developers. Consider other popular apps like Angry Birds and Talking Tom, they provide something fun, simple and user friendly. Similar to what we have just discussed. They all have something in common, they have created a product that's suitable for the consumers, nothing too complicated.

And that is how Clash of Clans stands out from other MMO games available. It's true, they advertise a lot, but it's really the intuitive gameplay that keeps players coming back to it.

Download Clash of Clans Guide for free Here.

League of Legends is a very competitive game that takes a lot of skill and strategic thinking to be able to outplay your opponents. I can help you become one of the best League of Legends players out there if you follow this League of Legends build guide.

-First of all you should always start boots and 3 hp pots with pretty much every role in the game. You need to do this so you will be able to engage or retreat quickly with the movement speed you have and stay in lane longer with the help of the hp pots.

-Runes and Masteries are very important to winning your lane. Most common Mastery builds for an AD carry or AP is a 21/0/9 build and for tanks a 0/21/9 build. This isn't quite the same for everyone but you will find that out later. Runes are very champ specific and can also find that out in the full League of Legends build guide.

-Summoner spells should go like this. Support gets flash and exhaust. AD Carry get flash and heal. Mid gets flash and ignite. Top gets flash/ghost and ignite. Jungler gets smite and flash/exhaust.

-Also get to know all of the champions in the game well because this will help you know when to be careful and when to play aggressive. This League of Legends build guide will help you better understand all of this.

-When playing as a jungler you want to pay attention to all of the lanes at all times. When you see a lane over extend, which is when they have pushed past the midway point in the lane towards your tower, you want to gank that lane as soon as possible.

-When playing an AD carry you should buy a couple of Dorans Blades when you have enough gold because this will help make you a little more tanky and give you a lot of damage and lifesteal. If you start out really well and get enough gold you can buy a BF Sword next instead of Dorans Blades.

-If playing AP Mid lane you should go for a couple of Dorans Rings and some wards so you can ward the bushes on both sides to keep from getting ganked.

-When playing Top lane try to get a ward as early as possible and place it in the river near the exit from their blue buff when playing on the top purple side. When playing on the bottom blue side, place it in the tri bush near their jungle exit.

-If playing Support be sure to first wards instead of boots because you are going to need to ward the enemies bottom bush in the bottom lane and the river near you.

-There is much more than I can explain here you must check out the videos to get all of the content you need from the League of Legends build guide to become a pro.

This League of Legends build guide will make you a better player and help you gain elo very quickly.
Download League of Legends Guide for free Here.

The Call of Duty series has always been the pinnacle of modern FPS, especially thanks to its extensive multiplayer experience. The series has received a new installment each and every year, and the last two games, especially Ghosts weren't that highly praised, mainly because they failed to add something new to the already old formula. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare comes in a great time for the series, as the COD games do need a refreshing addition in order to remain the most successful FPS on the market. But does the game live up to the hype? Let's find out!

Story

Most of the trailers placed a lot of emphasis on Kevin Spacey and his antagonist role in the game. In fact, this is the major strength of the campaign on its own, because other than that you get the normal blockbuster title that you would expect from a COD game. You have lots of corridors and on-rails shooting places, with only a few minor locations where you can opt for a pseudo open-world approach. The missions take full advantage of the futuristic approach that the game brings, as you will find yourself in a world filled with drones, exo suits as well as other interesting additions.

However, the campaign is short, around 6 hours and while it does bring a lot of intensity, in the end it has a stale story in which Kevin Spacey doesn't shine that much. It is an interesting story with a good ending, but lacks replay value.

Gameplay

Most of us will play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but most of the game mechanics can be encountered in the singleplayer as well. Alongside the normal shooting that you would expect from the title, you can now take full advantage of an exo suit that's implemented with your character. The suit is one of the major additions in the title, because you can upgrade it whenever you want and just modify it according to your needs. The exo suit comes with some neat functions, one of the finest ones being the grappling hook that simply turns you into Batman, because you can go from one place to another and ascend vertically without too much hassle. This can even be used as a way to grab enemies and kill them silently. The exo also has a jetpack-like boost that you can use whenever you see fit.

All exoscheleton features can be used in multiplayer as well, where players can jump in the air and kill the enemies doing that, or they can smash on the ground to defeat enemies if they want. This feature alone extends the multiplayer experience quite a lot, especially since your exo abilities can be refined as you progress through the game.

The multiplayer experience also gets some new and interesting modes, such as the Uplink or Momentum, each one of them with a different experience. Uplink is pretty much like basketball where you just need to take the ball from the other team and score, while Momentum is something similar to Tug of War, although it does combine that with Capture Points. Both these new game mods provide a neat refresh for the multiplayer experience, and combined with the exo abilities you get quite a lot of new content.

Graphics and sounds

From a sound standpoint, the game is pretty much as expected. Gun sounds are realistic, the music is action packed almost all the time and the voice acting is very good, especially in the case of Kevin Spacey, of course. Graphically, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is one of the prettiest COD titles to this date, and it does manage to bring a whole new set of interesting background designs, better character models as well as improved lighting. Just like most other COD titles, it's not the most impressive game from a graphical standpoint, since this is clearly a game that needs to run on older computers as well, due to the large player base. Despite that, the game looks very good and all the locations are fun to browse or play in!

Conclusion

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the refresh that COD fans were waiting for a very long time. The campaign shows the true potential of the futuristic setting and the multiplayer aspect of the title just gets new life thanks to the new game modes, improved upgrade system and the stellar exo-suit. It might borrow some elements from Battlefield or Titanfall, but in the end it combines them seamlessly with the COD formula, giving us a good, evolved Call of Duty experience.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-91835019789883075702015-01-12T07:47:00.006-08:002015-01-12T07:47:45.742-08:00Top 10 Video Games On The Xbox 360!

If someone has an Xbox 360, or are looking to buy one, chances are they're overwhelmed by the amount of video games available for the system. Here is a breakdown of the top ten Xbox games. Some are new video games, and some are based on video game reviews.

1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Without a doubt, this game is a must for any XBox 360 owner. The graphics are stunning, and the playtime is unlimited due to never ending quests. This game gives players maximum control over their character's development and allows the player to choose their path as a Dragonborn.

2. Batman Arkham City

This game is the sequel to Arkham Asylum and gives players the ability to play as both Batman and Catwoman. Playing Arkham City will test melee combat abilities along with investigative skills as players battle through Arkham's roster of villains.

3. Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3 allows the player to join forces with other players in a battle to save humanity. Along with the amazing fighting, this game's engrossing story line will keep people playing.

4. Assassin's Creed Revelations

While still keeping with the amazing combat abilities that have marked previous titles in this series, Revelations takes a new direction with the story of Ezio Auditore and keeps the game feeling fresh.

5. Mass Effect 2

The alternate universe that players are continuing to battle for is stunningly rendered. The game allows people to choose their actions as they go, and this ultimately determines the fate of their team.

6. Filled with puzzles to solve and walls to run through, the Portal series is on its way to becoming a classic.

8. L.A. Noire

In an effort to make the role of a 1940's detective as real as possible, the game painstakingly recreated 8 sq. miles of L.A. as it was in 1947. The player's job in this title is to solve grisly murders by interrogating witnesses, finding clues, and searching crime scenes.

9. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

In this Star Wars game, the player is cast as Secret Apprentice of Darth Vader. While upgrading their force powers, players will get a peek into the goings on in the Star Wars years not seen in movies.

10.

Dark Souls, available on Xbox360, PS3, and PC, is the sequel to the hit PlayStation 3 exclusive hit, Demon's Souls. Much like its original, Dark Souls is an unforgiving, tough, merciless video game in which you are to explore to undead land of Lordran. The game features a short tutorial to get you started in the Undead Asylum, then afterwards you are left to explore and die in the land of Lordran.

Dark Souls, like Demon's Souls, leaves you in a world without much to go on, except for the assistance (or hindrance) of player set messages left on the ground to guide you. Demon's Souls had a great and unique multiplayer in which you can see the ghostly images of other players running about in their own worlds, to give you a sense of you are not the only one left, and Dark Souls follows that tradition.

Other Multiplayer features are invasions (other players attacking you), Kindling fires (which gives one more extra flask from others who kindle their own fires close in the network. You can also lay down summoning signs to assist others in their world as a phantom, or activate their own signs to summon up to 2 other phantoms to assist you in your fight for the current area.

A big difference from Demon's Souls, is instead of the World/Player system, is the use of 9 covenants, which offer different gameplay styles. Some Covenants are PvP (Player vs Player) base, Some are Co-operative gameplay, and each Covenant is unique in their own way and different rewards. However, betraying your covenant can lead to consequences, or attacking/killing NPCs (non-player characters) can have dire consequences as well, so be careful!

Dark Souls, like Demon's Souls, uses the souls you gather from enemies and such, as currency. Do you want to level up, purchase items, absolve your sins? It all requires souls, and you need to choose wisely what you will do with them.

The games unique approach to multiplayer is a very nice touch, and no other game series follows in their Multiplayer pursuit. Also, coming soon there is the Prepare to Die Edition, which will be available on the consoles and the PC version as well, so more content is on the way in the coming months.

As stated before, the game is merciless and unforgiving, which will cause frustration at times, especially when you first start, so if you are not a patient person, this game may not be for you, but if you love a video game that gives you a challenge, and a struggle, this game is perfect for you!
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-15862669597591603412015-01-12T07:40:00.002-08:002015-01-12T07:40:26.199-08:00How To Make Money Online By Writing Video Game Reviews

The internet provides you with various new and exciting ways to earn money every day. It does not matter if you are currently working a part time job or a full time one, there are plenty of ways to make quick, extra money on the internet. Writing video game reviews is one of the things that you can do. Nowadays, there are many websites you can use to publish your reviews and earn money from them. Yes, it is possible to get extra income from writing and many people have tried their luck in this kind of job.

If you are a video game enthusiast, and you always keep up to date with the latest games in the market, then this job is perfect for you. If you're unfamiliar with the concept of writing reviews, you might want to know the tricks to do it right. Below are some tips worth trying:

1. Publish your reviews on different websites. If you expect a good earning, then you should post your reviews on at least 4 websites or even more. There are revenue share sites where you can get a percentage of the advertising revenue from your articles. You also have the option to start a blog but it may take a bit more time to generate money. The revenue share sites offer a quicker way to earn money than a blog. If you choose to have a blog, you will have to spend more time and put in more effort to make sure that it gets a good ranking on search engines.

2. Don't just stop on one review, you should publish as many as you can. It is important to publish more articles so you can earn more money. It is also important for you to maintain your articles so that you can still earn money from them in years to come. This enables you to build up readership, link your work to get higher rank on the search engine, and learn more about your trade.

3. In order to write good reviews, you have to play many different video games. However, video games are not exactly cheap and you may not have the time to play all the latest games in the market. A good solution to overcome this problem is by rewriting your reviews and posting them at the websites that you write for. You can talk about the different aspects of a game in several articles.

4. Don't forget to expand your topic. Besides game reviews, you can also write game tips, list of top 10 best action games, cheat codes, and many more.

It takes time before you can earn a steady income, but with perseverance and creativity, you can succeed. In the first month, you may only earn few cents per article but don't take it as an obstacle. Your earning will increase as long as you keep writing and publishing the reviews on the internet.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-78201071327678032302015-01-12T07:36:00.002-08:002015-01-12T07:36:45.612-08:00Assassin's Creed Revelations: Video Game Review!

When purchasing new video games, Assassin's Creed Revelations video game reviews have been quite high by gamers who have come to love the series of games, and have stated that it is better than the second game in the series, Assassin's Creed II. The game offers an excellent story line, mixed with several twists and turns throughout the game, and it also answers several questions which were left by the first two video games in the series. Several video game reviews have also stated that the Altair sections are quite interesting, and will really speak to the gamers who loved the first game in the series. The game also offers a wide array of interesting characters that you will come across while playing, and has a great ending for those who like to jump ahead.

Constantinople is a very large city in the game, and is a big part of the game; you will find that while playing, you will spend several hours just exploring the city, to find hidden gems, and discover what it has to offer. As far as the platforming of the new video games series, there are a few sections in the game that are lacking, while others are great, and have plenty to offer. The visual effects are good, and the draw distances are also fairly impressive as you are playing. The game also offers a great sound track, much better than the first two games in the series. There are however a few areas in platforming that the developers missed on, especially first person platforming, which was not well thought out or developed by the creators and designers of the game. The Den defense also seems to be a bit out of place in the whole series of things.

Overall, Creed Revelations is far better than its predecessor Brotherhood, and the AC2 which is the first game in the series. The main character, Ezio, is a 50 year old man, who is on a mission to reach Masyaf to enter Altair's library, in the original Assassin Castle. However, he first has to recover the five keys which Altair hid through the city of Constantinople, therefore this is the main storyline in the game, and this is where Ezio is going to spend most of the time, while meeting several new characters during his mission. The plot of the game also reveals many questions which were left behind by the first two games, and picks up about halfway through where the Brotherhood game in the series left off. Therefore, gamers are going to see the interaction between Altair and Ezio as the game develops. The story continues through this plot, and Ezio makes his way through Constantinople, to get to Altair's castle, while searching for five keys. Overall the video game reviews for Assassin's Creed Revelations have been fairly high.

Gaming Info And Deals is located in Central New Jersey.

It is my belief that all children are born with the DuckTales theme song within their heart. It's such a simple, catchy, memorable song and it defines everything that Disney did right with regards to animation in the 80s and well through the 90s.

If you don't remember the landmark cartoon, then you are without a soul and should probably find a cave somewhere to retire to and live a hermetic lifestyle until the world completely forgets about your worthless existence.

Like any successful franchise, there were numerous opportunities to make even more money off of the budding DuckTales legacy. There were toys, straight to VHS home videos, and even a video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This classic Capcom video game based on the DuckTales TV series is what I have decided to speak about today.

It has recently come to my attention that WayForward Technologies is developing a remastered HD remake of the game for the Wii U Nintendo eShop, Playstation Network, and the Xbox Live Arcade and is slated for a Summer 2013 release.

In an attempt to quell my child-like restless anticipation of this awesome remake, I'm dusting off the old NES for a rehash of the original as a way to explain how its immeasurable charm has lasted over two decades.

Although this title is not terribly obscure and has recently been the subject of many blogs relating to retro video gaming, I still feel Capcom's DuckTales commands enough respect to warrant a proper review. As is true of much of the video games developed by Capcom in the late 80s and early 90s, DuckTales became an instant classic that stands toe to toe alongside iconic titles like Mega Man and Street Fighter.

Graphically, DuckTales is on par with any 2D platformer title of the generation. Its bright, colorful graphics provide vibrant worlds for kids and adults alike. The backdrops are tailored specifically for each world, whether it be a haunted house or outer space. This great attention to detail and insistence on a cohesive, quality gaming experience may be one of the reason's for the game's lingering success.

Additionally, the music of DuckTales is one of its most precious aspects. From the 8-bit version of the show's theme song to the psychedelic, spacey Moon Theme that spawned its own series of remixes forever immortalized in meme form, it isn't just the throwaway repetitive electronica of many games of the era. Its layered, orchestrated, engaging arrangements help immerse the player within the thematic elements of each level and provide a specific mood to accompany the gameplay. Even today, the songs are pretty magical.

With regards to gameplay, DuckTales soared above the competition. With Capcom's already-touted tight control scheme, the player controls Scrooge McDuck, the wealthiest duck in the world, as he quests for additional treasure to add to his vault. Scrooge's abilities are all tied to his cane. He can jump, use it as a pogo stick to jump even higher, or use it as a weapon to defeat enemies or strike objects in the game world.

Like Mega Man titles, the game consists of five unique stages that can be attempted in any order that the player chooses. At the end of each stage, a boss guards one of the treasures that Scrooge McDuck is after. There are also two hidden treasures that unlock an alternate ending, if collected. Along the way, Scrooge is aided by non-player characters such as his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Gizmo Duck, and Launchpad McQuack. After the five stages are conquered, the player must return to Transylvania for a final boss fight with the wicked Magica De Spell.

The nonlinear elements like the ability to return a stage to find items you may have missed as well as the addition of two alternate endings depending on how much money or what hidden treasures you collect also gives the game a bit more replay value than most platforming games.

With its colorful presentation, masterful music, responsive controls, and addictive gameplay, Capcom's DuckTales video game for the NES stands tall throughout the years as a perfect example of a well-designed 2D platformer and is worthy of the praise it has received from critics and gamers alike. I anxiously await the HD remake to once again take a trip into the friendly, familiar world of Duckburg.

If you're interested in more nostalgic articles and retro video game reviews as well as much, much more, please check out 90s Movies.

It's more than just a site about 90s movies, it's a place to discuss all topics nostalgic and appreciate the simpler times of the late 80s and early 90s and discuss their lingering popularity. RF Online is one of the most awesome and exciting MMORPGs that I have ever played. RF or Rising Force Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by South Korea for Windows-based PCs, which is a combination of classic science fiction and fantasy. The story of the game revolves around the distant world of Novus. It centers on the gripping three-way conflict among three races namely the Bellato Federation, Accrecia and Cora in a beautifully rendered 3D environment.

About The Characters

The Bellato race are dwarf-sized but has the ability to wield magic, swords, staves, guns, bows and technologically advanced weapons like the MAU or Massive Armor Unit. What I loved about the Bellato is their ability to ride the MAU. A MAU is a huge robot that can only be piloted by a Bellato. There are two kinds of MAUs available in the game. One is Goliath, which is a MAU that specializes in melee attacks. The other is Catapult, which has a long range attack capability. A MAU has a high maintenance because it cannot be healed and its life can only be recharged in a Bellato NPC shop at an expensive price. However, they can destroy other races with just a few attacks and they are effective tanks in battle.

On the other hand, the Cora are elf-like creatures who possess strong affinity with nature. Although they can wield staves, swords, guns and bows, they are more effective using magic. They also have the ability to summon an Animus to aid them in battle. I am not much of a fan of a magic wielding character but a powerful Cora mage with a summoned Animus can destroy a MAU provided with the right strategy.

The third are the Accretia, who are technologically advanced race who replaced their whole body with cybernetic parts. They are able to hold swords, bows, guns and launchers. Although they don't have the ability to ride the MAU like the Bellato or summon an Animus like the Cora, the Accretian gunners are forces to be reckoned with. Accretian gunners with powerful launchers can take on other players with just one or two hits and they can take out a MAU from a distance.

Features

Leveling is achieved by killing monsters and skills are developed by using certain kinds of weapons or attacks. Equipping special armors or weapons also improve the status of a character.

There are plenty of jobs available for each character depending on their race. The different jobs offer various skills that are unique to each other like invisibility, special melee attacks, special long range attacks, ability to ride the MAU or summon an Animus.

Another distinct feature of this game is the election of an archon every week and council members who will be responsible in protecting the race. Each player elected is granted special abilities that range from increase in status points to increase in attack or defense.

In addition, each race has their respective currencies that can only be used in each race's NPC. This somehow limits greatly the progress of other players who keep on switching races since they have to start over again if they do.

Every certain time of the day, all races gather in a map to participate in the Chip Wars led by each race's archon. The result of the war determines which race has the right to mine for resources that can be used to manufacture special items and equipments. It determines the race who will have control over the Holystone Keeper too, which is the guardian of the mines. The race who wins the war also receives race buffs, increasing the race's attack and defense, which gives it supremacy for a certain period. The loser gets a debuff or lowering of status and will not be able to operate in the mines.

Opposing races can attack each other any time. However, players of the same race can't attack each other unless they take a Chaos Potion or they are in a Guild Scramble, which is a guild vs. guild match.

Review

I find this game addicting and fun because of the full customization available for each character and the unpredictability of battles brought about by its player kill or PK system. The PK system keeps you awake even if you are just leveling on regular monsters because any race can just invade your field and attack you. The only safe place to stay is at the base of each race where invaders can't attack you. The leveling system and character status customization are unique. The politics involved in the election of an archon or council is also a good point in the game as it adds a bit of realism to its world. On top of that, the Chip Wars are breathtaking! Going into a Chip War is like going into a world war wherein only the strong survives. Although the availability of a nuclear arsenal turns the tide in a blink of an eye during the war, it is still great and adrenaline pumping because you just never know what to expect. The music is superb as well.

Unfortunately, the game suffered a downside in its economy due to players who used item duplicators. Also, the use of fly hack tools boosted the leveling of many characters. Basically, a fly hack program enables a player to maximize his experience by attacking a monster from above without the monster damaging him due to their distance and the inability of the monster to reach a flying character. The imbalance in the game eventually made me quit playing because I was left behind by players who used these cheats and I found it hard to go toe-to-toe with them even if I regularly played the game. Another low point of this game is the very basic low-level characters. Moreover, travelling to reach a certain point in the field is quite hard and slow. Apparently, the developers lost interest in the development of the game because of they have ceased adding new features in it.

The game is awesome, but given the lack of interest of the developers in enhancing it further and its vulnerability to hacking tools, I give it only a Satisfactory rating.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-11600322839112123632012-11-05T00:37:00.000-08:002012-11-15T00:41:23.852-08:00Star Wars Video Games PSP DS Wii and Xbox 360

Star Wars took the world by storm with its intriguing plot, terrific graphics, and mind blowing action and adventure. Riding on the success of the movie and the television series came innumerable number of video games. Featuring thrilling action sequences and interactive game play, these video games became very popular among avid gamers. Two of the most popular video games are The Force Unleashed and the Star Wars Clone Wars Republic Heroes Game.

The Star Wars - The Force Unleashed Game (DS, Wii, and Xbox 360)
The Force Unleashed is a gripping video game that takes you on an adventure across the universe. Developed by LucasArts, this thrilling Star Wars video game makes use of Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) technology to incorporate physical properties to the environment. So, when a glass breaks or a piece of wood snaps, it looks and sounds very realistic. A behavioral-simulation engine known as Euphoria is also used in this action adventure game. This technology makes the characters think, react, and interact like human beings.

Set in an era between the Episode III and IV of Star Wars, this thrilling game reveals hitherto unknown secrets about the Star Wars galaxy. Bored of being the good guy all the time? In this video game, you can play the game as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice", StarKiller and get rid of Jedi. When it comes to powers, you will have so much that you can completely annihilate your enemies. Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" has four core Force powers such as repulse, lightning, grip, and Force push. Use these powers individually or combine them to completely destroy your enemies.

Star Wars Clone Wars Republic Heroes Game (PSP, Xbox 360)
The story line of the Star Wars Clone Wars Republic Heroes Game is based on the Clone Wars TV series. Set in the period between the first and the second episode of this television series, this video game sheds light on the mysterious bounty hunter Cad Bane. You can play this game as your favorite Jedi Knight or a Clone Trouper and complete the 30 missions to stop the techno assassin's plot.

Use your lightsaber and Force powers to kill the Separatist Droids and move further into the game when you play as a Jedi Knight. Turn enemies into weapons that will help you navigate levels with ease. As a clone trooper, you will have immense firepower in your hands. Use rocket launchers and thermal detonators to blast your way to the next level.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-35513961176894695522012-11-04T00:36:00.000-07:002012-11-15T00:36:42.911-08:00Four Great Nintendo Wii Games You'll Never Be Able to Play Outside of Japan

Given that the Wii was produced by Japanese company it makes sense that there would be a few games for the console that would only be available to gamers living in the land of the rising sun, which is a massive shame because there are a lot great Wii games that have yet to be localized for Western consumers and also quite a few that, for whatever reason, never will be.

Captain Rainbow

In this game you play a guy with his own TV show, a super cool yo-yo and a magical belt that turns him in to Captain Rainbow. Through a very bizarre turn of events involving a makeshift raft and a pink rabbit you find yourself without your magical belt and yo-yo and stuck on an island called Mimin. As well as being home to a lot of Nintendo's most famous and iconic characters, it is also full of puzzles, mini games and quests you must complete in order to gain your powers back. I'm not exactly how well a game this off the wall would fare in any other place in the world but I'd certainly like to at least try it out.

Eyeshield 21: Field Saikyou no Senshi Tachi

When it was released in 2007 this game was touted as a glimpse at how the Japanese saw American football. As is typical for Wii games you have to waggle and shake your way through an extremely stylized version of the popular American sport. I've never been able to make it the whole way through a game of British soccer let alone American football, but I would have loved to had a go at this anime influenced comedy sports game that seems more like a bonkers arcade game than any Western sports game I've seen.

Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen

Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen, which literally translates to Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse was released in 2009 and though its name is a tad misleading it is actually the fourth and most recent instalment of the Fatal Frame series of survival horror games. Better known in Europe and the US as Project Zero, the Fatal Frame series comprises of some of the most terrifying games ever made and usually involve haunted mansions full of wailing ghosts and evil demons and a magical camera that functions as your only defence against them. The original versions of this game featured some fairly fear enhancing vibrating controls and I'd like to hope the functionality of the Wii had capitalized on this even more, as all great Wii games have before.

Wii Chess

This last one is actually a bit of a cheat, because whilst it was originally region exclusive to Japan it has since been localized to the European and Australian markets, but oddly enough not the US. I've included this here because I'm absolutely baffled as to why a game as universal as chess would be, at least for a certain amount of time, deemed unsuitable for an international market and also because the idea of having a chess game on a console like the Nintendo Wii, when I could just go to my granddad's house and play it for free.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-80341183496785497582012-10-09T00:22:00.000-07:002012-11-15T00:22:48.992-08:00Sometimes You Just Need An Arcade Game

For some of us, playing video games is a hobby. You sit down and immerse yourself into a story about this amazing new world, and inside of this great new adventure, and of course about an amazing hero or heroes. There is so much detail that goes into the stories of video games and most of us don't even notice. Years ago they didn't have detailed stories about the video games they made. Arcade games lacked stories, but they did not lack entertainment.

Some games like Space Invaders, Asteroids, Pong, etc did not have stories written down, the stories were in the titles. Space Invaders was a game about aliens from space invading the world, and you were a lone ship who's mission was to stop the invaders from landing and taking over the world! Asteroids was just a game that involved you defending yourself from large masses in space... SHOOT!! PEW PEW!! The list goes on.

The great thing about these video games though was the fact that you did not have to know any story with them. You paid your money and took your chances at getting the high score. That was another great thing about arcade games, high scores. Games could just go on forever making your quarter, to you, worth a whole lot more than what it seemed. The game just kept getting harder and harder until you messed up or until you just could not handle the speed. Some of the arcade games were made by mistake and were never meant for the public.

Take Tetris for example, that game was originally made for programmers to wind down after a long day of thinking about numbers and equations. Its background has many legal battles as to who actually created it and why it was distributed and from what company of the gaming industry. Also you had arcade games that would spawn other arcade games. The original Donkey Kong was the creator of Mario, who was known at the time as jump man. You might remember jump man as the little guy who jumped the barrels trying to save the princess, yes she was in trouble even before Bowser came along.

What I remember the most was the countless hours of entertainment. I couldn't put Frogger down once I discovered it, PitFall took many hours of my time, Galaga was just too intense for words. My memories will always bring me back to those games and the times I spent hours in an arcade, or on my Atari. Now-a-days we have those amazing and new arcade games. But now they have been given steroids and a big jug of muscle milk to not only visually entice you, but still provide those hours of fun you remember from the pixel-ages. I recently purchased one on the PlayStation 3. It was not expensive, just reminded me of a game called Tempest. Sometimes you just need to forget about all of those big name games and sit down and spend some time trying to beat a game that you just cannot beat. Currently the top score on this new arcade game I have is 19 million and so far the furthest I got was 4 million, which seems like a fluke. I will take my time and surely at least get close to my goal, which is 10 million for now. Are there any games you remember from yestur-years that gave you that thrill of wanting to be the best?
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-68737037104019576082012-10-05T00:20:00.000-07:002012-11-15T00:21:25.745-08:00What Are The Best Video Game Jobs?

If you are a zealous gamer who loves everything to do with video tournaments then you have no doubt considered obtaining a gaming career. There are certain jobs obtainable in the gaming industry and there are more of them than you might think. A few of the several types of employment you could seek would include graphic game tester, game designer, producer, programmer, animator, sound designer and public relations manager. These gaming professions are essentially in two different groups. One group of jobs is directly responsible for creating the games while the other group focuses on running the business.

Many of the people looking for video and animation game careers are doing so for the reason that they may be enthusiastic video players and want to have a career which interests them. They are well-informed about video games and additionally they know very well what a good game looks and feels like as well as understanding what makes a game pleasurable to play and popular. A job as a video game tester can be an entry level position that can let people enter the video game industry. This can be an interesting career that pays people to experiment with all of the newest games so as to test their capabilities.

The job of a video game tester is to ensure that any new game functions properly and that its content makes sense. The game must run seamlessly and the whole thing must be in context and work together. In doing this occupation you would also inspect all of the technical components to make sure that they were working the way that they should. You will need a passion for gaming to follow this job but because testing video games is such a popular career, you must also have an educational qualification something like a video play offs degree or anything similar.

Another career that is available in the field of video games that needs educational and also technical training is that of the computer programmer. Programmers are a necessary part of the gaming process because they write down all the computer language codes which are required in order for video games to operate correctly. Without computer programming video games would not be able to work. Programming is quite different from testing games and it needs a mind which is mathematical and can generate complex algorithms. Being a programmer is a fantastic career for individuals who like computers and writing software programs.

Creative persons can get into the video tournament field as an animator, the folks who bring the graphics within the game to life in a realistic fashion. People with musical expertise might have an interest in becoming the sound designer that is responsible for creating the sound effects as well as the music used within a video game. Individuals with good management skills might decide to be a producer, the one who holds the entire project together and ensures that everybody is meeting deadlines and cooperating. Game designers create the overall concept of the game and PR managers promote games to the public.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-68829901871296017152012-10-04T00:19:00.000-07:002012-11-15T00:19:56.103-08:00Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus - Review of the Playstation Vita Video Game

This is a weird review to tackle, because by now this game has been around for eight long years and been re-released numerous times. The obvious thing to do would be to just focus on the Vita specific features of this latest packaging, but that's pretty boring. I've never personally reviewed Ninja Gaiden, so I'm going to give this a solid review that will hopefully appeal to Vita owners who have (somehow) never actually played this game.

So let's start with a bold statement: I think (the original) Ninja Gaiden deserves the title as one of the best action-adventure games to ever grace a console. It's not perfect, and time has caused its flaws to be magnified, but the combat system is as tight as ever. Every sword fight is fast and intense, and every battle you participate in could be your last. You absolutely must master (at the very least) the basic techniques, since as you have probably heard, this game is notoriously difficult.

And it is difficult, especially by modern standards, but Ninja Gaiden's difficulty is discussed much like Demon/Dark Souls' difficulty: as an exercise in hyperbole. Like those games, Ninja Gaiden is significantly challenging, but with patience and experience the game can be bested. A quick tip: learn how to block and dodge. These combat techniques are non-negotiable.

The combat plays with precision and finesse, like it was stripped right out of a fighting game, but the platforming doesn't follow suit. Sure, you can run along and flip off of walls like a true ninja, and it's cool once you get the hang of it, but the movement is very sensitive, so oftentimes it's easy to miss your mark. Luckily, that rarely leads to instant death, unlike the old school NES games (which ironically had arguably tighter platforming).

The story that unfolds is of Ryu Hayabusa from those very same NES games, whose ninja clan is mercilessly slaughtered by an evil spirit called Doku, who dresses in samurai armor and talks like Darth Vader (which is in fact awesome). Doku steals the Dark Dragon Blade, and murders Ryu with ease. And so his (and your own) tale of vengeance begins.

It's all fairly cookie cutter stuff, only made slightly cooler by ninjas and swords. The voice acting falls flat and is fairly bad, and save one cool plot twist near the end, it's all fluff. It is all forgivable though, as the story only exists to propel the action. This is a game that people fondly remember for its gameplay and difficulty, and hopefully not its story. That said, the plot is not the worse I have ever seen, by a longshot (and from what I have heard, it is way better than Ninja Gaiden III.)

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is a linear game. Sure, you can explore formerly visited areas and search out some secrets, but you are mostly moving from point A to point B. During your travels, you will cut down all manner of man and demon in a variety of locations: a ninja village, a blimp, a bar, and a military base, to name a few. The variety works well for the story; the game is pretty long, and the diversity of locations makes you feel like your taking on a real journey.

The dragon sword is not the only weapon you will cut through your opposition with, as you will come to earn many new weapons and skills. In fact, the amount of weapons is impressive, and they mostly play differently, rather than just looking different. For example, the nunchaku are fast and relentless, but a giant sword carries the momentum of a small car. There's something for everyone here, but if you're like me, you'll fall in love with the dual swords and never look back.

Speaking of "something for everyone", since the release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the PS3 in 2007, you can play as the female warrior from the story, Rachel. She plays like a tank in contrast to the nimble Ryu, wielding a gigantic hammer that smashes it's foes to putty. While I feel these segments are a nice break from Ryu's story, they don't really add anything (save a boss fight) and eventually, you just want to get back to what feels like the real game, because ultimately Ryu is more fun to control, as well as carries the weight of the story. Then again, perhaps this is just a result of my having played through the game before Rachel's missions were included.

On the Vita, the game boasts a few new features, but they are all really just gimmicks. You can touch the screen to enter first-person view, and look around by moving the device, which is neat but entirely useless. However, when aiming a bow and arrow, you can fine tune your shot by moving the Vita slightly, until the target is lined up in your crosshairs. This was a great feature in Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and its useful here.

When you activate your Ninpo magic to attack enemies, you can strengthen it with a minigame that requires you to touch certain areas of the rear touchpad. While it's fun the first ten times, as you get deeper into the game, it just gets annoying.

Finally, the game has numerous bonus missions, where you are tasked with defeating a bunch of enemies in an arena, sometimes with a particular twist, like one-hit kills. These missions tend to be pretty addictive as they purely focus on the combat engine, and they become much more difficult than the main game. If you're looking to get mileage out of your purchase, this is where it's at.

I will say this; watching this game, once a full-fledged console adventure, run on the Vita, is nothing short of marvelous. When combined with the fact that this is a great classic that has aged fairly well, it's a no-brainer if you've yet to play it. That being said, if you have played Ninja Gaiden before, it's probably not worth it. This was my third time playing through Ryu's vengeful tale, and although it was enjoyable enough, it felt like one dragon sword too many.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-33791818692811652332012-09-05T00:13:00.000-07:002012-11-15T00:15:07.610-08:00Video Game Reviews - How to Make Money by Writing About Video Games

The heavily smash brothers inspired, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale game has been the focus of many gamers since it was initially revealed. The game has been loved by those who have played it and the way it feels makes it a unique experience for the Sony consoles. Speaking of unique this is the first game that will allow characters from different brands and franchises to battle it out on the same screen on a Sony console. It is also a game that is available on the Vita as well, making use of the cross play aspects of the games PS3 and Vita players can battle it out against each other.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Gameplay focuses on building up a super and taking out a few of your opponents or all of them with a specific attack. There are three levels of supers that the game allows. Through constantly attacking your opponent you can build up your super and then release it whenever you want. Although this gameplay mechanic seems simple there are different strategies that work for different players. Some characters have devastating level 3 supers that are well worth the wait; other characters can make use of their level 1 or level 2 super and constantly take out opponents again and again. The goal is to get the most points before the time runs out meaning that you have to find the best way to get rid of opponents and avoid being defeated yourself which changes drastically between characters.

When it comes to the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Characters there are a large number of them to choose from. The characters all come from games that have appeared on the Sony consoles throughout the years. These characters are some of the more recent ones that you will recognize such as Cole from Infamous and Sackboy from little big planet. Older characters are available as well including Parappa the Rapper and Spike. If you really want a veteran in the fighting game saga you can even select Heihachi from the Tekken franchise. Several other characters are still to be announced, so you can expect a wide variety to choose from in the game.

Being the first game of its kind on any PlayStation console you can expect there to be a lot of new experiences. The game focuses on a unique form of combat and each character uses different strategies with the way they fight. Some characters work well with melee combat but aren't so great with long distance while other characters work in the completely opposite way.

The game is scheduled to come out very soon. In fact you will not have to wait long to play it yourself since the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Game Release Date is November 20, 2012. On that day you can participate in a brawler that offers you a unique fighting experience, bringing together characters from multiple franchises to battle it out and see which is the strongest.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-26923931976125208382012-09-04T00:09:00.000-07:002012-11-15T00:11:45.192-08:00Final Fantasy VII Game Review

Final Fantasy VII is by far the best and most popular game in the Final Fantasy series. This role-playing game (RPG) is a combination of sci-fi and fantasy, which was developed by Square Enix and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the seventh in the series, which was released in 1997 for the Sony PlayStation and was made available for MS Windows-based PCs in 1998. This installment broke barriers in the Final Fantasy series by being the first to use stunning 3D graphics and fully generated 3D images of the characters. It features nine playable characters with various specialty weapons and special skills called Limit Breaks.

The story revolves around a character named Cloud Strife, an ex-Soldier who joins the rebel group called AVALANCHE as a mercenary. He helps them in their campaign against Shinra Corporation whose shady operations are continuously draining the life of the planet. But during their conflict with this corporation, Cloud and his group encounter his old comrade named Sephiroth, the game's antagonist who would ultimately become the planet's greatest threat. Cloud's quest to unravel the mysterious purpose of Sephiroth leads him to various places wherein he meets other playable characters like Red XIII, Yuffie, Vincent, Cid and Cait Sith.

The game has three major areas such as the world map, field map and battle screen. The world map is a 3D environment that can be navigated by foot, chocobo (an ostrich-sized bird), sand buggy, plane, submarine or the airship called Highwind. The chocobo and vehicles in the game enable the character to go to areas with rigid terrains or across water masses, which cannot be travelled by foot. On the other hand, the field map depicts a 2D environment inside towns, structures, grasslands or mountains. While the combat mode portrays the 3D model of the characters and enemies, which moves and magical spells are illustrated in a brilliant fashion.

Character leveling is achieved through experience accumulated per battle. The experience gained depends on the level of the enemy defeated by the character. So the harder the enemy, the more is the experience awarded to the player. Skill or magic acquisition is through the use of Materias that can be attached to the weapons and accessories of the characters. In addition, powerful monsters can also be summoned using Summon Materias, which can be bought, acquired through quests or as the level progresses.

Another notable feature of the game during combat is the presence of special attacks called Limit Breaks. Each character has four levels of Limit Breaks, except for Cait Sith with only two. The Limit Break bar can be recharged as a character takes damage and it levels up every use when the meter is full. Limit Breaks may be in the form of special attack, boost or heal, but in the case of Vincent, it transforms him into a rampaging monster that attacks the enemy automatically.

The plot starts at the City of Midgar, wherein the protagonist Cloud and supporting characters like Tifa and Barret, join forces to destroy Mako reactors, which converts the planet's life-force into energy. Their adventures eventually lead them to the surviving Ancients named Aerith, and the antagonist, Sephiroth.

The sudden appearance of Sephiroth, who was long presumed dead after his sudden disappearance becomes an obsession to Cloud who later pursues him with the group. Along the way, they discover new places as well as new allies with unique personalities and different goals. In the end, they unite to defeat Sephiroth and guardians called WEAPON in order to save the Planet from destruction. As the story develops, they also inevitably clash with the cohorts of the new President Rufus Shinra, whose goal is to find the Promised Land teeming with energy.

A must see feature during the game's progression is the unveiling of the interconnected dark past of Cloud and Sephiroth. Along the way, Cloud discovers that everything he knew is not what it seemed to be, and somehow, Sephiroth had the answer that he needed. The past of the supporting characters were also detailed within their exploits and their goals are eventually realized.

Final Fantasy VII's fantastic storytelling coupled with unexpected twists, remarkable musical score and the amazing graphics of this game really makes it the "greatest game of all time" as described by RPG enthusiasts. No wonder it sold 10 million copies worldwide as of 2010, and the figures still keep on going up. The astonishing commercial success of the game produced prequels and sequels as well as spin-offs. Final Fantasy VII characters also appeared as guest in other video games due to their skyrocketing status.

The graphics were the best and state of the art during its time but it may no longer be that excellent based on today's standards due technological innovations. The characters also appear unnatural or deformed on maps although the models are more realistic in combat mode with its 3D rendition as opposed to the 2D sprites used in previous installments of the game. Therefore, a little improvement in terms of graphics for the remake is strongly recommended and is looked forward to by all RPG fans.

This game really brings back memories during my teenage years because this is the first RPG game that I have ever played and it was the game that introduced me to RPGs. Before, I thought RPG games were boring because all I see are texts and bunch of commands as opposed to the popular button-mashing action games like Street Fighter and Mortal Combat. Then I tried playing Final Fantasy VII out of curiosity because of the hype it was receiving during that time. Before I knew it, I was stuck in my chair leveling up my characters and excitedly anticipating every turn of events in the game.

I have played and finished this game numerous times but I still find it exciting whenever I find time to play it. So when I heard that Square Enix is considering making a remake of this fantastic game, I just can't wait until it goes out in the market.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065589170389608129.post-24903599087220576342012-09-04T00:08:00.000-07:002012-11-15T00:09:19.011-08:00How To Make A Video Game Review

It must sound fun for a lot of people to hear that a person can make a living out of making a video game review. However, what people don't realize is that making a game review is just as hard as any job out there. I started a blog thinking that I could make 1 game review a week, but I was wrong. Even if you only plan to make a review for casual games or even browser games, it will still take sometime to make a quality review. The good news is, there are certain areas that you only need to focus your energy on in order to make a reasonable review of the game. Here, I reveal to you my steps on how to make a video game review.

Research About The Game - It is important to include in your review what type of game you are reviewing. It's also useful to tell your readers when the game was released and on which platforms. Tell a little about the story or plot of the game but do not spoil the reader on important events.

Play the Game - You have to get some hands on experience of the game. I would suggest that you focus on the following areas

Gameplay - In this criteria you can say about how fun the game is, how difficult it is and what sort of enemies you'd encounter and even how many levels there are in the game. You can give some tips and tricks on how to play the game here. Useful to some readers are the number of hours you played the game, but I personally don't record my hours played. It's also useful to tell the reader something about the unique features of a game such as if the game supports a day and night system, combining items to make new items, online mode, etc.

Graphics - Mention specifically how the game looks like. Is it 2D or 3D? There are various kinds of 2D games like platform, isometric, sidescrolling, etc., the same goes for 3D games. Pay attention to details such as the character faces and animation, tell the reader how you appreciate or despise them. Compliment on the visual effects such as the glow of fire or shadows in dungeons.
Music or Sound - While not generally a deciding factor for people to buy games, some people are just fans of the game's composer from different games and that might just interest your readers. Describe the type of music played throughout the game like is it rock, western, ballad, etc. Describe how sound effects help in playing the game or how it is not helping the player survive.
Controls - You can actually combine this with the gameplay category but it won't hurt to make a special section on how the control system works. In my case, I start with the usual hardware required to play the game like a mouse, joystick or DPad and comment on how the controls are setup by default and if the controls are customizable. In some games like flash games, I include sound and screen configuration under controls.
Replay Value - If you can mention if there are unlockable modes upon beating the game then this would post a high interest for the reader. For example, on RPG games side quests are very typical aside from defeating the final boss. An RPG that doesn't have a side quest are usually poor in this category. Castlevania games like Symphony of the Night and Castlevania Order of Ecclesia have very good replay values.

Score the Game - Based on the above criteria, it's also useful to score the game. This is because some readers don't have the patience of reading the entire review and just looking for some sort of second opinion of whether the game is good or not. Scores are made just for this purpose. You can use metrics such as a scale of 1 to 5 or scale of 1 to 10 or even just plain words such as excellent, good or bad.

Finally, tell your overall experience of the game. Did you have fun and would you recommend to your readers to buy it?
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12370852242386423523noreply@blogger.com
